Salvation army emergency assistance program

For information on specific programs and locations, contact your local Salvation Army Center. Project SHARE attempts to target the most urgent need, whether it is a utility bill, a part of a rent payment, or an emergency prescription.

Each eligibility decision is based on the change in circumstances that caused the crisis as determined by a local case manager. The level of assistance is based on need, available funds, and what it will take to resolve the crisis. All applications for assistance are done locally by appointment.

For questions about appointments, what to bring to your appointment, available funds or the status of your case, you must contact your local SHARE Partner Agency. When you apply for aid, you will be asked to provide proof of identity and proof of residence. Each office has its own appointment policy, but most operate on a first-come, first-serve basis and will see clients as long as funds are available.

You must provide proof of eligibility when applying for assistance. This partnership enables us to offer assistance in every county in Georgia and several counties in North Carolina and Florida served by Georgia utilities.
